DAVIES, Paul A, GRAHAM, Carolyn (2002) Zabadoo! 2 Class Book, Oxford University Press , New York 95 pp with teacher's book and cassettes
Designed for primary school children, with comics, nice illustrations, excellent photoes, songs and some useful information from different websites, This book invites the pupil to use their imagination, auditive capacities, the intuition so as to improve the learning process. Repetition games, as well as colouring and matching activities are also included in the book in a very original way, for example, to know more about some animals, the children have to fill in a form where is written "Wanted" and to  guess the colour, the natural habitat, its shape etc. Througs some puzzles and chrosswords, the children will certainly enrich their vocabulary, get familiarised with the English system of writing. Seeing the photoes they will want to know more about the houses in Britain, some museums and important people and they will become interested in exploring the British everyday life and history. Some cultural aspects such as Mothers' Day, Christmass, The Bonfire night are also presented in this book, accompanied by a proper story that will intrigate the children's imagination and will foment their interest in English literature and customs. A very practical aspect of this book that must be pointed out as a plus in its structure is a short glossary in the end that makes easier the process of learning and consulting of the main concepts and parts of vocabulary that are supposed to remain in children's memory and that might push them to learn more and improve their skills and interest in the English language.
